Olive oil has multiple benefits; not only is it good to use as part of your meal preparation, but it’s also food for your skin. It’s rich in antioxidants, works well as a cleanser, moisturizer and skin protector. The antioxidants contained in olive oil helps fight signs of aging to provide a youthful appearance. Its composition is closest to the natural sebum secreted from our skin, which makes it an excellent moisturizer, without clogging pores. The high oleic acid found in olive oil offers additional benefits, such as regenerating skin cells, softening the skin, and anti-inflammatory properties. This is a ‘must have’ in your arsenal of beauty. Start using olive oil in your regimen with this simple body scrub recipe.

Ingredients: 2 Tbsp Olive Oil (Extra Virgin) 1 Tbsp Sea Salt (for a grainier scrub, you can add equal amount of sea salt) Essential Oil (optional)

Directions: Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl (plastic since you’re taking it to the bath). Rub the mixture all over ensuring that you concentrate on the rough spots. Lastly, rinse and towel dry. Your skin will be soft and glowing!
